To claim the reduced EAPP members' fee, it is necessary to be an EAPP member in good standing. For this purpose, around June 15, EAPP will check attendants' membership status via its membership software
* Membership rates will be 60€ for high-income countries in 2022. Thus, everyone who attends ECP can apply for a two-year membership of EAPP for only 10€ extra cost (when compared to the Non-Members submission fee), making use of various attractive benefits that come with membership.
** The reduced fees for a 2-year EAPP membership are 20€. Thus, ECP attendants from LIE of LMIE countries who chose to become EAPP members will save considerably regarding the ECP registration fees. As defined by the World Bank. Select the reduced membership fee if your country is not listed among the countries classified as high-income economies by the World Bank (July, 2017).
*** For students, the two-year membership rate is 20€. Thus, (PhD) students who chose to become EAPP members will save considerably regarding the ECP registration fees.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Changes in registration typeIf you are registered for in-person participation but are no longer able to attend, you may change your registration type to the virtual package. You can change your registration type until the May 12th, 2022 by writing to info@ecp20.com. An administrative fee of 10€ will be deducted from the fee refund when changing from “in-person” to “online”. Any changes in the registration type after the date previous mentioned will be only permitted if justified.
If you are registered for virtual participation but you decide to attend the conference in Madrid, you may change your registration type to the on-site in-person package. You can change your registration type until the May 12th, 2022 by writing to info@ecp20.com. The fee difference between the virtual and in-person participation package will be charged. Any requests to change the registration type after the May 12th, 2022 will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation of participation
If you cannot attend in-person or virtually, you may cancel your registration for a refund of the registration fee. Since the conference incur certain expenses prior to the conference, it is necessary to impose the following cancellation policy (unless Covid-19 related, see specific section):
- Cancellations received before April 15th will have full refund.
- Cancellations received prior May 31st (31st included) will have the 50% refund of the registration fee.
- Cancellations received from June 1st (1st included) won’t have any refund of the registration fee.

If, for reasons beyond our control, the ECP20 is unable to be deliver the in-person component of the event, all those who are registered for the hybrid conference (in-person and virtual) will be automatically changed to virtual conference and receive a refund of the difference between these two registration fees, less an administrative ‘switch fee’ of 10€.
The conference organizers reserve the right to make changes to the programme, speakers or venue, should this become necessary.
Cancellation policy related to COVID-19
If you are unable to attend the ECP20 due to a COVID-19 emergency (e.g., lockdown enforced in your country, Visa restrictions, obligation to stay on-site by your institution), you are entitled to receive a full refund of your registration fee or to change your registration type to the virtual package with a refund of the difference between fees (save for an administrative ‘switch fee’ of 10€). This policy applies to the following cases:
- A lockdown or quarantine is being enforced in your city or country
- Your institution is requiring you to stay on-site (please provide us with an official statement from your department)
- Your local embassy does not deliver Visas anymore (please provide us with an official statement from the embassy)
- You or someone with whom you have close contact has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and will not be recovered prior to the event
Cancellations related to COVID-19 will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may require documentation beyond what is required in the cancellation policy above.
